catsforobama.com has posted a picture of koobs. and if you can overlook the fact that one of her pictures is labeled with someone else's name, koobs is by far the best looking cat with the best art directed photo on the site. monkeys could do a better job photoshopping than these people. taking a picture of your cat with a bumper sticker? come on people. put a little effort into it.

koobs is very proud to have sparked such a heated political debate on cuteoverload. while everyone has a right to their opinion, many of the comments are a leetle off the topic of how cute koobs is. so, here are the best on-topic comments:

I suppose I should preface this by saying I am, in fact, an Obama supporter, but would you check out how GORGEOUS this cat is?
He looks so sweet and snorgle-able. I think it's the way his shirt snugs against his little body. And look at his little white chin! And his perky ears and alert expression! I can't look away from this kitteh. He is like the ultimate marmie. I never really understood the whole "I want to nibble this kitteh, nom nom!" vibe until I saw this picture.

too much excitement

all the excitement of being on cuteoverload has gone to koobs's stomach. she puked on the couch, the angela adams rug and my book.

she is still on top of the world though.

koobs is like an identical twin to her kitten self. left: koobs, 1999. right: koobs 2008. the photo on the left was taken before there was a clear isis/koobi fora distinction. but it is so clearly koobs.

isis, is that you?

lately, koobs has been doing things that only isis did - like nesting in the closet. i also think she is starting to look like isis. some people say they looked a lot alike but they never did to me. except when they were babies.

they tried to make me go to maine and i said "no, no, no."

on satruday morning i was packing for maine. i had packed koobi fora's things and got her box out. she must have figured it out cause she decided to hide under the bed. and she did not want to come out. i tried treats. i tried tuna. or i tried fake tuna. i got the can and the opener and she came to the door. but when i tried to catch her she ran back under. then we tried the vacuum trick. torie turns the vacuum on at one side of the bed in hopes she will come out the other. but it didn't work. i tried poking her out and she didn't budge. eventually i moved the bed and grabbed her. she was SO scared and upset and emitting that scent cats do when they're in danger.

when we were in the car i said, "koobi fora, let this be a lesson to you. i always win."

then i felt bad about the trauma getting her into the box and i let her out so she could sit on the seat. after a few minutes koobs came out of her box and peed all over my jacket.

she totally won.
